William Flynt Gallagher

Director of Compensation

With a deep history of supporting financial institutions, Flynt Gallagher heads Meyer-Chatfield Compensation Advisors. His focus is on attracting, motivating and retaining personnel critical to the success of financial institutions, particularly through the design and proper use of performance based compensation plans (such as: cash incentive plans, equity allocation plans and even performance based deferred compensation plans).

Before he joined Meyer-Chatfield, Gallagher served as Vice President and Tax Manager of First Union National Bank and Florida National Bank. At these banks, he reviewed and designed compensation plans to retain current and future wealth for executives of large banks and community banks. He performed similar services for key clients of these banks, as well as handling income tax and related IRS issues for these clients.

Gallagher also owned his own consulting firm. He has over ten years of experience as a manager and partner in the field of Public Accounting.


Chris Pezalla, FSA

Senior Vice President

Chris Pezalla oversees both sales and administrative services at Meyer-Chatfield. He has a wealth of product and insurance experience to work with insurance carriers on product development, as well as negotiating terms and pricing on new deals. His expertise in complex cases helps shape unique investment strategies for a wide range of financial institutions.

For Meyer Chatfield Administrative services, Pezalla works with both carriers and clients on key factors, such as accounting, regulatory and tax issues. He also has a deep knowledge of non-qualified deferred compensation.

Pezalla has been a BOLI expert for over eight years. Prior to joining Meyer-Chatfield, he spent 15 years in key roles for insurance companies, including AEGON, Minnesota Life and Midland National Life.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota Morris, he received his Masters in Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa. He is a fellow in the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.


Steve Goldberg,

Senior Managing Director

As a leader of the Meyer-Chatfield team for over ten years, Steve Goldberg is currently focused on national banks throughout the country, as well as financial institutions in the Northeast region. His extensive expertise in all aspects of the BOLI arena, including restructuring of current BOLI programs; Separate Account transactions; and General Account transactions.

In addition to his work with banks, he has also been instrumental in helping insurance carriers develop new hybrid structures.

Goldberg is a graduate of the University of North Florida, with a degree in Finance and Marketing. He is a board member of the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Philadelphia. He has twice been a member of the NAIA National Championship golf team. 


Arnie Winick,

Regional Director

Arnie Winick consults with clients on BOLI assets and executive benefits. Focused on the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and New England Regions, he works with banks on a continuing basis in evaluating their assets and keeping them constantly informed of how the marketplace is performing. His tools include annual reviews, and meeting with boards and compensation committees on a regular basis. He also helps banks with their administrative service needs.

Arnie joined Meyer-Chatfield in 2003. He is licensed in series 6 and 63.

Arnie is an Honorary Trustee of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) / Philadelphia / Delaware Valley, Chairman of the Golf Committee for CCFA for the past 8 years and supports many local charities.


Charlie Hicks,

Regional Director

Charlie Hicks advises clients in the Southeast Region on all types of BOLI plans, including General Account, Separate Account and Hybrid.

He has been with Meyer-Chatfield since 2003. Prior to that he was Vice President and Business Development Manager at Private Business, Inc., Brentwood, TN. He managed relationship with community and large banks throughout the Southeast.

Hicks is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and holds a Masters in Public and Private Management with a private sector focus. Hicks also played professional baseball in the San Francisco Giants organization.


Thomas Molteni,

Regional Director

Tom Molteni consults with financial institutions in the Southeast Region, focusing on the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas.

Prior to joining Meyer-Chatfield in 2003, he worked for Private Business, Inc., where he facilitated new bank relationships in 11 states. with primary concentration on the above mentioned states. At PBI, he licensed nearly 300 banks on the company’s Business Manager Program.

Previously, he was Vice President at Dean Witter-The Jernigan Group, an institutional division of Dean Witter. He also co-founded Powers-Molteni Interests in the 1980s.  This comprehensive commercial real estate development and merchant-banking firm developed, rezoned, owned and leased real estate projects in three states.

Molteni is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State, with concentrations in business administration and marketing.


Geoff Solomon

Regional Director

Geoff Solomon’s expertise is in large tax structured transactions - equipment leasing, structured finance. He managed the Capital Markets Group, and has a strong background in Corporate Finance and Public Accounting.

He joined Meyer-Chatfield in 2005, and specializes in introducing, originating and placing BOLI programs with a variety of banks.

He is a graduate of Xavier University, where he earned an accounting degree. He got his Masters in Finance at Fordham. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.


Brian Sheldon,

Regional Director

With over 20 years over serving financial institutions, Brian Sheldon is Regional Director of Meyer-Chatfield. Prior to joining the Meyer-Chatfield management team, he served as a strategic partner with the company.

Previously, he was as Vice President of Sales for IAC Group, specializing in insurance for banks. Prior to that, he spent a dozen years with Deluxe Corporation. As a market performance manager, he provided checks and related products for financial institutions.

Sheldon is a graduate of Memphis State University, where he majored in insurance.


Daniel E. Peterson

Regional Director

Daniel E. Peterson has worked in the insurance business for over 20 years. He has recently joined Meyer-Chatfield because he brings a relationship building perspective to his clients that meshes perfectly with Meyer-Chatfield’s philosophy. He is focused on building relationships in the Dakotas and Minnesota.

In addition to his Meyer-Chatfield affiliation, Dan is also a Managing Partner with Partners Advantage Insurance Services, LLC, a general agency with offices in 5 states. Prior to becoming an agent and starting his own agency, he was Sr. Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Clarica US, an insurance company that was purchased by Sun Life of Canada in 2002.

Peterson studied Business Administration at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. He has received the LUTCF designation through the American College and the LLIF designation through LIMRA and Babson College.


Renee C. Wentz,

Vice President of Administrative Services

Renee Wentz is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of Meyer-Chatfield Administrative Services. In addition to training and cultivating MCAS staff, she oversees the implementation and administration of BOLI plans for a wide variety of bank clients.

She joined Meyer-Chatfield in 1995 as office manager. Prior to that, she was an information technology specialist for Hechinger Company in Philadelphia. She is a graduate of Temple University, where she earned a degree in Business Administration, with concentration in Finance. Renee is a member of the PennPIRG Environmental Lobbying Group.
